Savannah Guthrie is bringing her love of faith to fans through a new book: "Mostly What God Does."
Guthrie, 51, announced her upcoming religion-based book alongside her "Today" co-hosts on Tuesday. "I am so passionate about faith, how it can challenge us and inspire us," she said ahead of the big reveal.
"I’ve decided to share a book. It’s called 'Mostly What God Does' because mostly what God does is love you," Guthrie said, explaining that it is "a bunch of reflections on faith and love and kindness and goodness."
The "Today" co-host got emotional while sharing the news, explaining, "It’s very personal, which is why I’m in tears about it, but also really overjoyed and delighted, but scared because it’s certainly the most personal and vulnerable thing I’ve ever done.
"I’m really passionate about this, and I hope it will be full of love and happiness for everyone," she added.

Guthrie's co-anchor Hoda Kotb was also tearful during Tuesday's announcement, sharing that she has already read some of "Mostly What God Does."
"It doesn’t matter your background. It doesn’t matter your faith. When you read this book, you’ll be touched," Kotb said, to which Guthrie responded, "I hope it's something that speaks to everyone."
Craig Melvin praised his co-host Guthrie, adding, "One of the things that I've always loved and admired about you is that when people around here are at their lowest, you use your faith to lift people up."
"Mostly What God Does" is available on Feb. 20.

A description of the book shares that the book is aimed at those who "struggle with your connection to God, or whether you even feel connected to a faith at all."
Guthrie will discuss her own difficulty and connection to her faith with "personal stories from her own joys and sorrows as a daughter, mother, wife, friend, and professional journalist."
The Daytime Emmy winner has previously co-authored two children's books with Allison Oppenheim, including 2017's "Princesses Wear Pants" and its 2018 follow-up "Princesses Save the World."
