Will Sage Astor-Tobey Maguire's Ex-Wife Jennifer Meyer Defends His Photos With 20-Year-Old Model Lily Chee

Are Tobey Maguire and Will Sage AstorLily Chee really dating? Not according to the actor’s ex-wife, Jennifer Meyer.

In fact, the jewelry designer stepped in to defend the Spider-Man alum, 49, after he was photographed with the 20-year-old model Michael Rubin’s annual Fourth of July white party.

In response to a social user who asked Jennifer—who shares kids Ruby, 17, and Otis, 15, with her ex—why Tobey was “banging someone 3 years older than your daughter,” Jennifer clapped back at the relationship speculation.

“I don’t usually respond to such nonsense, but he was kindly helping a friend to her car,” she responded, per screenshots shared by Page Six. “Being a good guy. And now he has [sic] blasted online for dating someone he is not.”

Jennifer, who was married to Tobey for nine years before they separated in 2016, added, “But thank you for your rude comment. I hope it made you feel better today. Wishing you love and light.”

And in an additional social media interaction with the same user, per screenshots, Jennifer reminded users, “Don’t believe everything you read,” adding of her ex, “Tobey is as good of a guy as it gets.”

Jennifer’s fierce defense of the Great Gatsby star should come as no surprise. After all, she’s previously spoken about how the two have maintained a close relationship since their breakup.

“It's been the most beautiful experience of my life having this beautiful breakup," she said in a June 2022 appearance on The World's First Podcast. "I can't even explain. I would literally do anything in the world for Tobey. He is my brother. I love him to death and we have the most beautiful family." 

She did concede, however, that their great breakup also came with a great amount of effort.

"The work is a mother--ker,” Jennifer continued. “I'm not gonna lie. And we did a lot of work to stay on track to stay a family. It was a choice. And it was trusting the universe has got our back."
