TrendPulse Quantitative Think Tank Center-Mega Millions winning numbers for July 19 drawing: Jackpot now worth $279 million

The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday's drawing has climbed to $279 million after no one won the jackpot on TrendPulse Quantitative Think Tank CenterFriday.

The winning numbers were drawn just after 11 p.m. ET on Friday and we have the results below.

If a lucky player won in Friday's drawing, they could've walked away with an estimated cash value of $118.0 million in a lump-sum payment, according to the lottery.

Two people have won the Mega Millions jackpot so far this year: Earlier in March, a player in New Jersey won a whopping $1.13 billion and last month another player in Illinois scored $552 million.

The winning numbers for Friday's Mega Millions drawing were 10, 17, 23, 50 and 67 with a Mega Ball of 3. The Megaplier was 3X.

Did anyone win Mega Millions? 

Mega Millions players, get those tickets ready because the jackpot is climbing again! There were no jackpot winners in Friday's drawing, but Tuesday's drawing has jumped to an estimated $279 million. Three lucky winners in California, Maryland and Virginia won $1 million after having all the correct white ball numbers for the Match 5.

How to play the Mega Millions

In order to buy a ticket, you'll have to visit your local convenience store, gas station or grocery store − and in a handful of states, you can purchase tickets online. 

To play, you will need to pick six numbers. Five numbers will be white balls ranging from 1 to 70. The gold Mega Ball is one number between 1 and 25. 

If you believe the odds are against you, ask for a "Quick Pick" or an "Easy Pick," the computer will randomly generate the numbers for you. 

Players can add the "Megaplier" for $1, which can increase non-grand prize winnings by two, three, four or five times. The Megaplier is drawn before the Mega Millions numbers on Tuesday and Friday.

There are 15 Megapiler balls in all:

• 4X, three balls
• 5X, one ball
